NEW YORKERS GATHER IN THE SOUTH BRONX TO DISCUSS RISING DIABETES RATES
SOUTH BRONX, NY, 30th April 2025
A “Diabetes Action Summit” was held at BronxCare Health System in April 2025, where hip-hop pioneer Doctor Dré spoke about his struggle with diabetes alongside Chris Norwood, the founder of the Bronx-based non-profit Health People. The summit’s goal was to urge New York City to declare a diabetes health emergency.
